FEARLESS, co-created by singer Heather Curtis and pianist Sheldon Forrest,
explores a journey from a "life lived in fear," through moments of realization,
reflection, self-assertion, and ultimate triumph. After a brief stint away from
"the business," Heather makes her cabaret debut JUNE 6th at 8pm with FEARLESS
at Don't Tell Mama, with a reprise performance on JUNE 8th at 4:30pm.
FEARLESS examines the universal experiences of anguish, reflection, overcoming,
self-discovery, and ultimate victory through music and lyrics from Bernstein to
Billy Joel, from Jason Robert Brown to Joni Mitchell, from Stephen Schwartz to
Stephen Sondheim.
Heather, a native New Yorker born in Brooklyn, lived several years in Boston,
and is now back at the center of it all, ready to put her voice and face on the
line FEARLESS-ly. She received scholarships to attend the Boston Conservatory
Master's program, placed 2nd in the National Association of Teachers of Singing
Voice Competition while studying in Boston, and has sung on the stage at
Carnegie Hall. Classically trained with both a Bachelor and Master of Music,
Heather is finally excited to accept, explore, and overcome her "angst" by
sharing this personal cathartic journey with, through, and over Fear. She
looks forward to entering the world of cabaret with wonderful and fearless
Sheldon Forrest as Musical Director/Pianist in this, her NYC cabaret debut.
This show falls between both Heather and Sheldon's birthdays and marks
Sheldon's last performance before moving to Paris. So, please come help them
celebrate!
